WBA 98th Convention will be held in FuZhou, Jiangxi, China on Nov.6-Nov.11, 2019.

WBA has confirmed 98th Convention in FuZhou on upcoming November 6-11. As the original world boxing governance body, WBA will be strengthen and more prestigious through this event. WBA ASIA meeting will be delivered on Nov.8 in conjunction with WBA CHINA to share WBA ASIA future plan. Also, 2 WBA ASIA title matches would be held on the fight night of Nov.10.

WBA ASIA lands in Hanoi. We have developed new boxing market Vietnam past years. We had title matches twice in HoChiMinh city, and also we could see big potential Vietnam boxing.
WBA ASIA will have a historic event with Vietnam Sports Platform in Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. The most prospect and popular Vietnamese boxer Dinh-Hoang Truong who is SEA games boxing gold medalist will challenge WBA ASIA EAST title. It would be definitely remarkable boxing event for Vietnam boxing fans. Also, for professional boxing in Vietnam, WBA ASIA will instruct ring official seminar by veteran officials Mr.Silvestre Abainza and Mr.Chalerm Prayadsab. As WBA slogan, we are simply the pioneer!

As per our operation process, WBA ASIA decided that two sub-title champions succeed regular titles.

Tewa Kiram (THA), 41(30KOs)-1(1)-0, succeeded WBA ASIA Super Welterweight title as of August 6, 2019 from WBA ASIA SOUTH champion.
Muhamad Farkhan (MYS), 10(10KOs)-0(0)-0, succeeded WBA ASIA Cruiserweight title as of August 15, 2019 from WBA ASIA SOUTH champion.

We have many examples of adopting this sub-title system rule. It would encourage our boxers and help to be active each division. We will do our best for our all divisions to be more active.

WBA ASIA Champion, ArAr Andales (Phl, 10(2KOs)-0-0), will challenge WBA Minimumweight title against current WBA Minimumweight champion Thammanoon Niyomtrong (Tha, 19 (7KOs)-0-0). The fight would be expected very competitive by these two undefeated boxers. Good luck for both.

*WBA ASIA Super Middleweight division - As of May 7, vacated the title because of not proceeding defending schedule over due dates. WBA ASIA  SOUTH champion Brijesh Meena (India) succeeded title.
*WBA ASIA Super Bantamweight - As of April 13, vacated the title because of not proceeding defending schedule over due dates. Ye-Joon Kim (Korea) acquired title by TKO on May 6 in Korea.

WBA ASIA double header in Korea on May 6. WBA ASIA Lightweight (Hwang-Kil Kim vs Ki-Soo Lee) and Super Bantamweight title (Ye-Joon Kim vs Ryo Kosaka).
